How It Works
Captura manages vehicle access by automatically identifying licence plates as vehicles approach an entry or exit point. When a vehicle arrives, the Captura Vision camera captures the number plate in real time and passes it to the control software for instant verification. The system checks the plate against authorised vehicle lists and access rules configured by the operator.
If the vehicle is authorised, Captura sends a command to open the boom gate or access barrier, allowing the vehicle to enter or exit without stopping or driver interaction. If the vehicle is not recognised or authorised, access is denied, and the event is logged for review. All access events are recorded by the Captura Control Software, providing operators with a complete audit trail of vehicle movements.
In addition to physical access control, Captura can also operate in a monitoring and recording mode without being connected to gates or barriers. In this configuration, the system simply records vehicle entry and exit activity, capturing timestamps, plate details, and movement data for analysis, compliance, or auditing purposes. This data can be viewed within the Captura platform or securely shared with external systems through APIs, enabling integration with enforcement platforms, security systems, or broader site management solutions.
