Rapid Ramp System
The Rapid Ramp System is a compact, reliable traffic signal control system designed for straightforward, low-complexity applications such as single-lane ramps, access points and short conflict zones. Operating on a simple time-based control function, the system alternates traffic flow using clearly visible red and green signals, ensuring opposing vehicles are never released simultaneously. It is ideal for sites where predictable traffic behaviour is required without the need for complex logic, multiple detection zones or dynamic decision-making.
The Rapid Ramp System is quick to deploy, easy to operate and maintain, and delivers an effective safety outcome for drivers while providing operators with a cost-effective, dependable solution for managing basic traffic conflicts.
Greybox System
The Greybox System is a highly flexible, intelligent traffic signal system designed for complex or site-specific traffic signal control and management requirements. Built around a custom PLC controller, it uses the same traffic signal heads and vehicle detection hardware as the Rapid Ramp System but enables significantly more intelligent and configurable operating logic.
The system can be programmed to deliver adaptive traffic signal control suited to unique site conditions and changing traffic patterns, supporting features such as morning and afternoon traffic flow modes, on-demand vehicle calls, dormant or standby operation, and conditional sequencing based on vehicle presence or time of day. This makes the Greybox System ideal for larger, higher-risk or multi-use environments where simple time-based control is insufficient, providing operators with a tailored, scalable traffic signalling system design that delivers enhanced safety, efficiency and control.
